Hi everybody. I stumbled on SMF, and it looks like exactly what I am looking.
I got a Medium Green Egg (saying Medium Big Egg sounds so wrong somehow) for the holidays, and during my week off I have been diligently figuring it out. My family got it for me primarily to smoke fish (I fish in the Chesapeake Bay from March through December, and anywhere else in the world whenever I can). Because I fish with great guys, including 3 fishing guides/charter captains who know that the they are doing, I get lots of fish all season long. Primarily rockfish (local name for Atlantic Striped Bass), with an occasional flounder and some spanish mackerel during their brief visit to the Bay in late summer.
Although the Egg was bought for fish, I have been smoking chicken and beef this week. Finding recipies is easy online (and I suspect here as well)
I will be reading here about my Egg; I keep finding new equipment-related questions.
