Hey guys,
I live in south Louisiana and have been smoking a couple of years in one of those little propane jobs, but it isn't big enough anymore. I've been reading about building my own smokehouse, so last week I went and bought a bunch of antique cypress from a house that was built in 1861. For the past 3 days myself and 2 of my buddies have been cleaning, de-nailing and planing the wood in preparation for the build. Hopefully another couple days and all of the lumber will be prepped and we can get started. This forum has a wealth of knowledge and I wouldn't have attempted this without you guys. I'll start a build thread very soon and I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions, thanks in advance.

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum, from a chilly and dreary day in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
