Happy New Year all you fellow smokers.
I grew up eating my Dads smoked salmon and ribs and finally decided to get into the game myself so my wife got me a propane MasterChef smoke for Xmas and am going to fire it up for the first time this weekend.
I seasoned it yesterday and found that the wood chips caught fire far too easily so am going to attempt to line the chip pan with some foil and/or soak the chips a bit. Will also try a bigger chip and not the sawdust sized chips I got with the unit.
