Has anyone heard of or have experience with this stuff? My local sports store Academy has this for $15 for 20lb bag...it's supposed to be large lump coal...

I use this from Academy all the time along with either hickory wood chunks or mini splits. Seems to work fine and it doesn't spark like the Royal Oak lump charcoal that Wal-Mart sells. I usually use the oak or hickory lump.

Thanks JC! I just bought a couple bags of the Oak from Academy today at lunch to try out. I've used the RO in the past but I end up with so many small crushed pieces. This stuff seems to be larger chunks.

Burns hot and long, I have used it many times, I still like the flavor of RO over B&B
