My wife got tired of waiting for me to fix the burned up wiring ends in my MES 40, so she went out and bought me a new one.  Now I have 2 non-working MES 40s (Gen 1) that someone can either rewire back to stock, or rewire to work with a PID.  One of these just needs a new power cord spliced back on.  Masterbuilt had me cut it off and send it back when they sent me a new replacement smoker.  After multiple controller changes it wouldn't heat to a consistent temp.  After moving, it seems that may have been more a problem with the wiring in my garage.  If anyone's interested, just PM me here and make arrangements to pick up one, or both.

id love the power chord one, but sadly im across the country and don't think arranging the shipping would work out well. Lucky for someone close to you I guess.

Dang it,,, 40 would be nice,,, TOO Far also,,, you could drill hole on side to run cord and put a burner plate in there and have a designated fish smoker??? Or designated cold smoker,, Just a thought

A full smoker is a happy smoker

Bummer, I wish all you guys lived closer.  I'd be happy to drive these to Buffalo or Erie, but the Rockies, and farther, is a little more than I'm willing in the winter. Lol

Minnesota?

Have you talked to UPS on how to ship and a cost? I may be interested.

I haven't done any checking, but judging from the crazy prices ups charges for boxes of dvds I ship for business, I have a feeling it would be cheaper to buy a new one than ship these.  If you'd like to look into economical shipping, you're more than welcome to.  I just think they're too big & heavy to be worth it.

I wonder how much freight would be to crazy Kalifornica?   I'd take both.  I need a winter project.

I have a MES30 along with 10 other smokers and grills but I would love to have that just for cheese smoking in big quantities.  Im on Long Island.  Still a little too far haha DOH!

I've got someone else checking on affordable shipping out west.  If he's not able to find a doable solution, I'd be willing to meet you in Binghamton, if that helps.

It doesn't look like there's a very affordable way to ship these out west.  If anyone wants to meet me within an hour or two of Western NY to pick them up, just let me know.
