It's been a while since the Ogallalla Cream Cans been put to the task. Picked up a really nice looking Seven Bone and knowing that I'd only have a couple hours from start to plate it was the device to use.

Did most the prep the night before. Chopped the veggies, marinated everything in the can minus the taters. Originally I was going to use russets which I don't like to cut until cooking. Needed carrots and found some nice mini mixed taters and added those instead.

Marinade for the beef and liquid for the Can, Snappy Tom, Worchestshire, and a local Porter, Paddle Board Porter (Monkey Face, until last year and some marketing guru changed it. It's been Monkey Face for 20 years, us locals are not happy!).

So onto the fire, 4pm, off the fire at 6:15. Tender goodness. Who needs a crockpot!

I told my wife I wanted one of these then I said I didn't want one.

Talk me into it Case.

The wife went out with the girlfriends so no sense at n played shots, right? Dippings better!

The Au Jus from the can, which turns into gravy, I really though about turning it all into gravy, but the wife would've made me sleep in the garage I'm sure.

Veggies to make the wife happy

Taters, keep in mind all cooked in the Can.

Meat out of the Can

Pulled. Actually it just falls apart...

And this is how boys ear when the wife isn't at home. Man Fondue!

ENJOY!!!!

What's a 7 bone? Never seen one in Canada.

It's the blade portion of the chuck. It can come in steak form or roast form. Steak form here is 1/2"-3/4", anything thicker is sold as the roast. Called 7 bone because the bone looks like a 7. Here they are considerably cheaper than chuck roast and when prepared properly are just as good.

When Momma's away..........

Looks great Case, its really surprizing what you can pressure cook once experienced.

Yes sir, great looking meal.

Thanks Foam! As you know these seven bones are tasty.

The can cooker makes really tasty meals. I'd break out the 5 gallon can, but I don't need to feed an Army!

Looks like that pot roast is the cream of the crop!
