Que paso amigos! Names Josh, from Albuquerque.
The wifer got me a CG 5050 last spring. I got to cookin immediately. Made some mistakes and was looking for some answers before I came across this community. Seems like theres a good balance of knowledge and patience around here which has been very helpful and the weeds seem to be pretty low. I really enjoy this hobby so far, and the fam seems to be as well, certainly the only hobby I've ever had where the ultimate goal is sharing the best parts with them. So far I've done a few briskets, lots of ribs, turkey breasts, various chickens, and my latest love is the Boston butt. I've been playing with fuel types and methods with mixed results, the journey is what I'm into so it's been a hoot... Only "mod" so far is an iGrill, so far it's been a nice little addition I'm expecting to help tighten up my results.
TLDR: Josh, Albuquerque, novice, Chargriller Offset, iGrill.
