Hi folks....just a quick intro. I just purchased my first smoker. Its a Masterbuilt 30 inch Electric Digital Stainless Steel Smokehouse with RF remote. I just purchased it yesterday and after the 3 hour break in, I proceeded to smoke a 12 lb turkey. I should say proceeded to immolate it!.....It was so bad that I threw the entire bird in the garbage. I followed the directions for smoking a turkey that was included in the instruction manual but no luck. Also, this unit comes equipped with a built in internal thermometer but either I stuck it in the bird wrong, or it is malfunctioning. I will test it out later.
Anyway, this site was recommended by a member of another forum, so here I am. Eager to learn....so let the education begin!
