The Pine Belt of Mississippi
Hey y'all,  I'm Rob from Hattiesburg Mississippi.  I just built a smoke house, and am seasoning it, and I was given this sight address by a friend, and owner of a smoke house in Lafayette Louisiana that gave me the urge to build my own.  My plan is to read up y'alls threads and try to learn some new spice mixes, Sauce Mixes, and ideas about cooking.

Hey Rob.  Welcome to the site.  I'd sure like to see some pictures of your smokehouse.

Lots of helpful folks and smoke project ideas around here.  The site's search engine works pretty good also.  Just ask it or us, anything your curious about.

Welcome to the group Rob!  I too would like to see some pics of your smokehouse!  It sounds awesome.

Rob: kool smoke house. My only covers is I see you used OSB for t g e walla etc. OSB is loaded with chemical binders. Might be a health issue. Don't know for sure but I would check it out.

Wild Billy, I was told the glue in OSB won't be an issue.  Treated wood would be an issue but the OSB is just glue that gets seasoned out after a couple of smokings. I seasoned it for 24 hours to get a coat of smoke over the wood.

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from a cloudy and chilly day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
