OK—WE had our 2015 Thanksgiving Dinner at Bear Jr’s Den again.
He has plenty of room, and his Wife’s Parents & Sister were staying the weekend (from Jersey).
Mrs Bear made some of the things I noted below, and Bear Jr Smoked the Turkey.
I gave him a pack of Mad Hunky Poultry Brine, and he soaked the 20 pound Turkey over night in that.
That stuff is the only brine we ever used that doesn’t leave any Salt flavor on or in the Bird Meat !!
He Smoked it at 300° to 320° for 5.5 hours, until it was @ 168° IT, and it was really Juicy!!
Best Tasting Turkey we Ever Had !!
