I am new to the forum and smoking as I have never smoked before. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have attached pictures of my smoker, as I used felons BBQ/smoker calculator to build it.
My first time smoking I did a couple of pheasants which turned out really good.
Now I live in NW Ohio by Lima. And I think the weather has alot to do with it as I tried smoking a ham tonight and I could not ever get it over 200 tonight. Please help.

Welcome to the site, and the smoking hobby.  I took the liberty of copying the one picture that I found by posting the address in your post.

Here is a link to several post's on adding pictures.  http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/newsearch?search=how+to+add+pictures+to+a+post

Was it windy while you were having trouble getting your temps up?  Rainy?  How high a temp have you been able to get in the past?

It didn't seem too windy today with a SW wind at about 5 - 10 mph. I can't get it over 190 deg. Now the first time I used it I was able to get it up to 240 but now I can't. It was dry today as well. And I have my firebox away from the wind.

Is 240 the highest temp you've been able to get the smoker to?  If so, I think that just a little wind could cause your problem.  I think that I would build a make shift wind break around the smoker and try that.

Good luck.

texas.gif  Good evening and welcome to the forum, from a cloudy and chilly day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
