After wanting a smoker for many years we finally picked one up - well two if you count returning the first one. We found a good deal ($250 plus 35ish shipping) on a MES 30 with legs, cover etc from QVC but discovered after one light sprinkle of rain that the cover was in no way waterproof. It was waterlogged inside and out.
I was all set to pick up a windowless gen 2 MES 40 on sale for $250 from Lowe's when I stopped into Sam's and happened to see the newest 40" Bluetooth model with leg kit for $329. After having the 30 for a few weeks I regretted not getting a 40. I only ended up paying just a little bit more for a much better/bigger smoker.
Broke it in last night with some smoked wings and Mac n Cheese that was amazing! Perfect smokey flavor.
I've been lurking here for a while now and have learned a lot of things about smoking that I never knew. :)
