I joined this site almost five years ago but more as a learning, and favorite food porn site. For years I burnt meat on my 22" Weber trying for a great smoked meal. Now and again I would get lucky but found it hard to control the heat.    Last fall I decided enough was enough and the hunt for a quality smoker began. Heat control was a priority, and since I'm getting a little long in tooth a pellet smoker was more in line than tending a wood smoker all night.  This spring I took delivery of a Yoder 640 and haven't looked back. Using Jeff's book I have yet to have a bad  experience.  I'll post pictures of my some of my smokes in the other forms.

Here's my toy

I'm glad you finally started to post and also glad that you now have your smoker. Five years is a long time to read on here without commenting. Your input is important and appreciated. I haven't been here but about 9 months, but I jumped in and have met some great folks and they are wonderful to work with. They will always help with any problems and will always offer ideas and tips. All you have to do is ask.

Good luck with your Yoder and good smokin', Joe
