hello to all what me and the wife want to do is make spice that are good for diabetics and also taste great at the same time so what we want to do is blends of spices without salt sugar and all other crap that store bought spices have in them and sell to the public this way they have a healthy way of eating and tasty food also cause why cant diabetics have tasty food also am  i right? and by the way i live in British Columbia Canada

I find it easy to make spice blends, all depending on how I would like the finished product to taste. A lot depends on the depth of your palate as to what you can achieve.  I make my own personal spin, on traditional blends of spices, using only fresh, organic ingredients. I use very low quantities of salt/sugar in my cooking. Experiment away and keep a log of the different combinations of spices you use and the flavors you have created. This way, successes can be replicated and repeating mistakes can be avoided.

I baked some focaccia bread to have with an Italian dinner tonight. The family likes a dipping oil to go with the warm bread. I make a dry mix to keep on hand that‘s useful a lot of ways.
1 Tbs oregano
1 Tbs parsley flakes
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 Tbs Mrs Dash herb and garlic seasoning.
Just add a teaspoon of this blend to a 1/4 Cup of olive oil, and allow to warm in a small sauce pan over very low heat for 10 minutes.
I use this brushed on chicken that is baked or grilled. It's good on vegetables, as well.
Easy starter for you to try, no salt or sugar required.
Modify it to be as spicy or mild as you want it. Coarse black pepper, or sea salt can be added, and granulated onion works in well too. Use it dry on steaks and chops, add some dill, shake it on grilled fish.
Just an idea for starting your own blend. No salt or sugar required !
