My Cabelas 1 hp grinder has been a little sluggish lately. She's gone through a lot of meat since I picked her up about 6 years ago..... Time to freshen her up

Look what I have at the back of the shop at work..............

4.5mm plate looks a little worn

All cleaned up

7mm looking bad too

All cleaned up

Made a jig to hold the knife.... The blade didn't look like it needed to be sharpened until I sharpened it... What a big difference. .....After all the surface grinding i realized that precision is not a part of a grinder. Everything was off up to 0.020 but now its all straight and true....

Now that's a sharp blade

Now I'm ready for sausage season... Time to get busy with the stock pile of meat Ive been saving

Thanks for looking

Joe

Looks great Joe it should be ready now

I SO ENVY your surface grinder!  Those are handy for a LOT of things.

Makes my granite and paper look primitive!

Great work sir, I may have to call in a favor from a friend that has one here local.
