High Temp Chuck Roast

We are shooting bows out at my buddy's house all day and he was talking about doing some butts on his Pitt Barrel Cooker while we are shooting.  I thought about instead of butts, maybe doings some chuckies for pulling instead just to give them a try.  I was just curious how chuckies do at higher temps in the 275-300 range?  His cooker don't like to run below that range and I just want to make sure they will still be ok for pulling.  I plan to wrap them at about 165 or so.  Let me know what you guys think.  Thanks!

I think you should be good to go?? they will just get done faster, no better way to find out than shooting bows and smoking, I am headed back up to elk camp tonight with my Bow. Good luck on both of them, smoking and shooting.  I wish some day I could make it out mid west and get one of them big bucks

Let us know how they turn out

Thanks for the info DS! I don't think it should be different from a pork butt at high temp but then again never did a chuckie.

As for the deer hunting I got my eye on a few of them. These are a couple good pics I got of some iowa deer this year.

Best of luck on your elk hunt! I'm jealous, they are on my bucket list!
