OK, I don't need to tell you all how excited I was my Steelers were playing last night.  Not real happy they did not win......oh well, the football season is just starting.  Anyway, you know I had to cook some Smoked Chicken Wings.....20lbs of wings to be exact. Here's my "bird-views" I made Red Beans and Rice Pilaf to go along with my wings!  I'm feeding 12 Seniors tomorrow and they love my Smoked Chicken Wings, Red Beans and Rice Pilaf....

My chicken wings ready to go into the smoker....I'm smoking with maple wood today.  Thought the maple wood would go well the Maple Glaze Sauce I made for my wings.

Pork meat for my red beans.  I smoked a case of ribs a couple of weeks ago.  This meat is the trimmings from my spare ribs.

all my wings in the smoker. Had to stack a rack on top to fit all of my wings in the smoker.

1 hour into the smoke

first batch out of the smoker. I finished my wings off in the oven.  Slathered them with Maple Glaze Sauce and lots of butter - covered with plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Put in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.  My wings were bursting with flavor, tender and delish!

I know this was a few weeks ago but I'm new and man these look good. How long did u smoke? Side note, hate to see ur QB go down. My mom/bro are Steeler fans. Hometown Panther fan here.

Good morning agoude and welcome to the SMF....

Yeah, I hated to see Big Ben go out like that too.  This is not a very good season for QB's"

Back to your question - I smoked my wings for a couple of hours just long enough to get some nice smoke on them.  I cooked 20lbs of wings that day so, after the first hour I had to move them around so everything could get some of that good smoke.  My total smoke time was about 2 1/2 hours.  I finished off in the oven to tender them up.  My wings were tender and delish!

Be Blessed and Keep on Smokin'..............
