Well a week or so ago my oldest daughter got hitched, small wedding as per her request, and kind of a pot luck. So the Grooms father made the smoked pork butt and asked if I could bring a side or two.

Well, ya can't really say no right?? LOL

Made a 3 bean casserole and some Pork shots,.

Fry up some bacon for the beans

Added hamburger, and onions

Got to making Pork shots while burger was cooking

Brown sugar with rub

Sorry I was buy myself during this operation due to wife helping daughter on the big day.

Put these in with the pork candy and smoked at 225* for about 3hrs

Thanks for looking

DS

Got me droolin' all over my keyboard.

Hope you were as lucky with your son-in-law as I was.
Mine loves grillin', smokin', and woodworking - all hot buttons for me!

Hey DS.  Those bean look really good.

As for the son-in-law, if he spends enough time hanging with you, there's hope.

So............how do you form those pork shots.  Real interested.

Gary
Thanks Gary, ya there may be hope LOL

Take a piece of Keilbasa slice it about 1/2" thick or so, take a piece of bacon and cut it in half, wrap the bacon around the sausage and this will form a cup, fill the cup with a mix of brown sugar and your favorite rub, smoke 225* till bacon is crisp, and maybe last 5 min or so top with a piece of cheese - Like I said I was on my own this day LOL and did not get all the pics done, here is one from a previous batch

Hope this helps - they are great and always a big hit

Congrats on the Wedding and the sides.

Atleast you know that there is a chance for the SIL to come around since he comes from good cloth.
