Hello, just joined, my name is Harry, I live in a small fishing village in Ireland where I chef and own a small seafood bistro, I cure then cold smoke with a Bradley 6 rack, selling all that it can produce, I intend to retire next year and focus on smoking only, I would be interested to know if anyone has an opinion on a Beelonia F6

I never played with a Beelonia but judging from their site that F6 will get you knee deep in fish pretty quick. Their seperate smoke generator may be the way to go for keeping things cool...JJ

The Beelonia line looks like good quality....

Not knowing your production... To produce different types of smoked fish, you might consider 1 each of smaller units so you can vary your product line or have batches coming out of the smoke every few days... a smaller amount of fish may be easier to handle at one time while keeping up quality.....

Hi Dave, appreciate the suggestion, I toyed with with getting 2 smaler units, but because I normally cure for 48 hours, and sell all that I can do, it would be my intention to freeze surplus, The Christmas market here is crazy, last year my Bradley was smoking for 12 to 14 hours a day for 10 days, and I still had not enough product, The F6 is coming at the right money, only used once, I might not buy it yet, I was looking for an Afos, but these units are so expensive

Good place to start with a used unit.... maybe get another used unit in a year or so.... Good luck..... icon14.gif

Thanks Dave, have just been reading your profile, welcome your comments, I've been a fish chef for over 30 years, and love fish, great to interact with people  with passion, as you seem to have.
