I own a bar here in town and am starting to serve pulled pork sandwiches on the weekends .. i am addicted to this style of cooking ... i found a HUGE .. IM TALKING HUGE Double Oak tree that fell over on our property during the winter so i have a never ending supply of oak wood to burn ! i tried the bag wood bologna from the stores.. not for me ! Anyways i look forward to learning more from you guys .. there are so many different ways to BBQ ! and all advice is greatly appreciated !

RAB-A-QUE, welcome to SMF! Glad you are here and having fun sharing/selling your smoking creations to customers.  It was a bar in South Texas that served smoked meat on weekends from a huge vertical smoker that still brings back great Friday and Saturday night memories even decades later.  Sounds like you're making a few of those memories for your folks too.

Sounds like you are all set in the wood department.  We have a HUGE white oak tree in our backyard that has future stick burner written all over it should it decide 300-500 years is a long enough life.

Have fun!
