Welcome BBQ Ladies,

I created this group to get our voices out and to create a great place for us women to talk about our love for BBQ and this entire great obsession for smoking meats. Please join in and tell us all about yourself and about problems, concerns or inputs. Either you’re new to BBQing or an expert doesn’t matter all are welcome.

Hey Patti,
Welcome to our little club house. I just opened the doors not too long ago and it's really awesome that your the first new member. :)

Thanks zoe! My vote would be we include anyone who wants to join. But that's just one vote lol. I think this group is gonna be a lot of fun, looking forward to getting to know everyone :-)

well spread the word and I'll do the same. The hardest part of new groups is getting members but once they get started it's really fun :)

Zoe, is this exclusive to women?

DUDE, what are you doing in there? Didn't you see the sign?

I'm never about exclusion. But I am all about good manners and happy members so as long as that is kept in mind it's all good.

Hi....new member here; I wondered if there were any other ladies here!

I lost 2 grills and a smoker in my divorce this past year....well, they *were* his after all (though the Napoleon, I bought him for his BD!)

So I just recently bought myself a smoker (it's what I like best anyway), a garden-variety vertical.  Have already used it twice and the results have been Oh.My.God. both times.    I found this site while looking for answers to what-the-heck-do-I-do-now.

And one great benefit is that my two teenage boys willingly leave their computer games to help!

Nice meeting you.  I am in Montreal, Quebec.   One benefit of being here is that we have access to so many cultures' cuisines.  I added korean smoked pepper to  my rub for my pork shoulder yesterday.

Welcome to our little corner of the web.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your grills, but I'm glad you're back in the game with a new smoker.

I agree with you on the availability of world cuisine of BBQ. I use lots of Asian influences in my cooking and such and a big fan of Japanese food and their grilling and bbq.

Greetings Friends!

What a great idea to start a group for ladies who enjoy smoking meat. I love grilling meals

for my family & friends when ever I can.

I have a 40" Masterbuilt Propane smoker which I love.

All the recipes I have used and guidance I have fallowed from SMF have had  outstanding

results and I am always looking forward to learning something new.

Hi Sid, it's very exciting to get the ball rolling and make this little corner for us gals to talk about everything.

I'm hoping to drive up membership as time goes on and then it'll take on a life of it's own. I'm seeking membership of experts to join up as well

so that we can pick their brains clean

. For me I'm one step closer to being bach in the country and back to BBQing as we're about to rent a house

out in the country and bet your ass I'll be smoking up some grub out there.

Zoe

Thank you for the welcoming greeting.

I have not done much smoking lately due to the high fire danger here in Nor Cal.

I live in the foothills and wild fires are no stranger to the area where I live.

Being ordered to evacuate is no fun. Better to smoke another day when

the conditions allow.

So in the meantime I'm planning what to smoke the next time I can.

Plus I am looking forward any new recipes I can get my hands on to

give a try.

Congrat's on your new place in the country and "Keep on Smokin!"

Hi ladies!  I'm a newbie member of SMF but I've been 'lurking' for about a month now.  I've been using this site as my bible for smoking as it has a wealth of information. I bought a 30" Masterbuilt electric smoker and I'm in love!  HAHA

So far I've smoked a turkey breast, chicken wings and some fresh sausage that I purchased from Sprouts.  The turkey was OMG good and the wings were good but they needed "something".  Next time I think I'll a vinegar, garlic, paprika and butter mopping sauce on them.  I'll let you know how they turn out.

I have a somewhat stupid question, I would like to smoke a brisket.  I asked my butcher at the local grocery store and they only sell them whole.  Since there are only 3 of us in my house and I have a smaller smoker, has anyone found brisket portions or smaller cuts?

Thank you for creating this group for ladies!  I've felt a little out of place as smoking seems to be primarily a man's hobby.  I look forward to more posts from you!

Hi there! My name is Josie and I have a weber obsession!! (I have an Arsenal of Webers lol)
Lately I haven't had time these past few months but I hope to get back to it soon.

I've been a smf member for quite a while and I as well learned a lot from this website. It's nice to know that there are other women who also enjoy grilling/smoking/cooking outside just as much as I do. I am also here to help too.

Thank you for taking time to read my post
Regards
Josie
