Hi there. I've just arrived here after a period of time abstaining from BBQ forums. I have been cooking outdoors for around 30 years or so with several years in Texas and some more in India and Thailand. I currently have a variety of grills, tandoors and smokers housed within an industrial unit with a large extraction fan .. I have competed in KCBS competitions in Europe and The USA including 3  appearances at The Jack.My interest in smoke and fire continues to evolve and I would love to both learn more and share my knowledge with other like minded folk.

Hi Joker - Welcome to the forum. There are a growing number of us here from the UK and we hold an annual meeting in July/August (sorry but you have just missed this years). Where in the UK are you from?

From your introduction it looks as if you will be able to contribute a lot of experience to the forum already and we look forward to your input. If you get a chance please drop by to the UK group Roll Call thread and introduce yourself there.

http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/229926/roll-call. Everything posted in the UK group can be seen in the main forum however if you have any topics that are more relevant to smoking in the UK you may find you get a quicker response there.
