Dusted up a tri tip with black ops rub, put it in the rotisserie basket and spun over a oak fire 300-400*  stopping to sear on both sides.  Potatoes were coated in olive oil, wrapped in foil and hung down near the fire.  Really good cook, thanks for checking it out.

Juicy Juicy Juicy!!!

Here's a pic from more in the middle from the other direction.  I cut it in half on the fat line and direction change to cut across the grain.

Rotissering Tri Tip over fire is now my favorite way to cook these guys....sooo good.

Thanks!   If you have a rotisserie then you gotta do one like this, it was over a fire but charcoal would be great too.

Your pix are making me hungry, and that's not a good thing! It's 11:30 pm and I'm heading to bed. Now I'll dream all night about smoked beef and baked potatoes! LOL

Wow. Looks great
Thanks Adam!     I wasn't complaining that's for sure. lol

Woohoo, tri tip! Nice job and creative way to cook it as well.

Thank you,  I typically cook over the fire so I figured the Tri tip would fit right in the basket...probably could have did 2 in it.

Heck yea...TT rules!     I gotta thank the fire and rotisserie for it doing so well, I paused the rotation to sear it when the fire got hot.

Great Job!!
Thanks Jar!    Hope the Jimmy is working out well!    I'm going to hang 4 butts in mine in a couple of weeks...that'll be interesting, i'll post pics

I love it!!! Still making a little change here and there, but it works great! I was able do 4 butts for a total of almost 35lb a while back. It is very full, but handled it like a champ. Now I am not sure how the hanging will go, because I used 2 shelves. Can not wait to see how it goes for you.

I'm hanging a small 7 lb tomorrow as a test.  I put a grate and diffuser towards the bottom so if the butt falls when it gets tender it won't land in the coals.  Hopefully it won't because i'm going to hook it 2 or 3 times.
