Hey all, seen a video by BBQ Pit Boys & just could not quit thinkin bout it.... I think I drive my better half crazy ! LOL. Anyway, I just could not get this outta my mind til I tried it... Let me tell ya, we were not disappointed.... Wow, were these good ! This is just our variation of this great recipe ! I'll include the BBQ Pit Boys thread at the end for those interested in checking it out !

Got all the stuffing ingredients done first... We had bacon bits from yesterday mornings breakfast, diced onion, diced green bell pepper, diced mushroom slices, minced garlic & cubed up Tillamook sharp white cheddar !

So took some burger, garlic powder, onion powder & black pepper ! Mixed the seasoning with the burgers & rolled into balls !

I'd kick myself if I forgot my fav food group.... Bacon !

Time to form the burger bowls & wrap with bacon... Done !

Everyone stuffed their burger how they like it ! That's an awesome part of this recipe... The possibilities are endless !

Off the smoker, 300* for bout an hour and twenty min.

Final pics with a peek inside, my sidekicks seem to like it.

These things rocked ! Will be doing these several more times !

Here's the link for the BBQ Pit Boys recipe if you'd like to check it out !

Hey DS, thanks for dropping a line ! I'd recommend trying these, dang tasty ! Thanks for the point too !

Nice job WHB!!

I've made stuffed burgers with cheese many times to eat as a burger on a bun, but this is as good a main entrée as I've ever seen! What % (ratio) of ground beef did you use? I'm thinking I'd use at least 90%... maybe 95 because the other goodies are going to add the fat and moisture necessary to make them scrumpdilly-icious!! I will have to try this out very soon!!

Awesome (and unique) smoke Justin! I love burgers so I'll bookmark this thread.

Love the kiddies posing with food!! hahaha. They're like "come on dad, do you always have to take pictures of our food!" I'm 100% certain my kids (and wife) feel that way.

Thanks Bryce ! These things were awesome.... My kids are generally saying "Hey, get this pic & that pic... Hey, did ya get this.... Hey, hey...." LOL. Then the next time they are "camera shy". Haha, that's kids for ya ! My wife is good with it, unless she's hungry & I'm snapping a couple pics.... LOL.
Thanks for dropping a line & the point !

This inspired me! Putting some in the smoker in 15 minutes. Ground chuck with sauteed onion and green pepper, chunks o' pepper jack and cheddar with a covering of mozzarella and cheddar. Actually they're "beer can" versions. Smoking at 270° for 2 hours with cob corn going in for 1 1/2 hours of it. Hoping for the best!
