Hi everyone.  I am fairly new to the world of Smoking.  I am a trained Chef but can tell you that all my training and experience doesn't amount to squat when it comes to Smoking.  I am from Baltimore Maryland and I have had a passion for food for a long time.  A few years ago I bought a $40 Brinkman Smoker and fell in love with smoking.  I still have it today but felt it was time to upgrade and dive into this world headfirst instead of testing the waters with my big toe so to speak.  Two weeks ago on my 43rd birthday, I decided to splurge on myself and bought a 40", generation 2.5 Masterbuilt Electric Smoker.  I have only used it once since due to weather, and I prepared Baby Back Ribs which turned out nice and tender, but not very flavorful.  I joined this forum to get ideas for better rubs and sauces for smoking due to the fact the one I used from the Owners Manual was TERRIBLE and to learn all there is I can learn about the world of smoking.  I come to you with an empty head and a lot of questions so that I may learn from those that have been at it for awhile.  I look forward to the education ahead of me. With all that said, let the fun begin and may it be tasty!!!
