I have been using a 22.5" Weber Smokey Mountain for about 2 years now. I love her very much. My best friend was given an electric smoker this past Christmas as a gift. I immediately told him to start practicing because we were going to have a BBQ throw down. First, he has only used it once or twice, second it is electric. Now I will say that in general he is a very good cook. My question is this...can a inexperienced smoker produce winning results with an electric smoker vs a experienced smoker cooking over charcoals?

I know, I know, it's a silly question with lots of variables. Humor me please.
