Got a small Brinkmann Electric Smoker for Father's Day.

So excited but I don't have a clue what I'm doing. If anyone could share some tips and techniques with a newbie smoker that would be awesome. Also, if anyone has the same smoker (Brinkmann Gourmet Electric), I'd be interested in how you control the temperature or any mods that help in use.

Thanks!!!!!!

i would say start with some baby back ribs, they are pretty forgiving.just look on the search bar on top and pick a technique that's good for you.then next time try a different way until you find the one you like best, just remember no 1 way is better then the other it's all on your taste,so just dive in.  good luck

Thanks, SmokerJim. I actually have a couple of small pork roasts in the fridge. Might give those a shot first. Hopefully, it isn't too complicated.
