Vertical Exhaust stack on Weber Lid

Has anyone put a vertical exhaust stack on a Weber lid? Thinking about put a vertical stack over existing exhaust on Weber kettle lid. Any downsides to this other than extra work? Mainly just think it would look cool. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. Didn't think of that. Perhaps if I put it on the side opposite the Weber vent and put it close to the edge it would work fine. Then I'd have an extra vent if needed too.

Use a hunk of pipe big enough to cover the whole vent and hold it in with magnets. Test and see what happens.

Adding an exhaust/chimney is a good way to get added draft.  For a fixed max (fire) temperature and a fixed outside temperature, the height, perpendicular to the ground, between those temperature extremes determines the pressure difference, hence the amount of flow, out of your smoker.  Do you want more flow?  If you want a hotter temperature (burn more fuel) this is a way to do it.  But is that what you want?
