Greetings all!
I just ordered a Lang 36 yesterday for delivery in mid-July.
I'm a born and raised Texan, but because of this military/nomadic lifestyle, I move around frequently. I'm fixinta (only a Texan can say that) move back to the US from Honduras and I'm ready to upgrade from my vertical, charcoal smoker to something a little better.
I ordered the Lang 36 with a few Mods.
Pneumatic Casters in front
Removable stack and front shelf (to get through my next few moves)
(Probe wire hole and slide out shelfs are now standard, by the way)
I really wanted the 36-stretch or the 48, but I think I'll have to wait until I can live in one place for more than 2 years to upgrade! The 36 should be fine for family cooking needs for the next few years!
I've been reading lots about various smokers but decided on the Lang mostly due to cost and size.
Looking forward to delivery and getting started!
