Just wanted to drop in and say Hey, I'm from Georgia, and have always watched and helped my grandpa during smoking/grilling but have never taken the reigns myself until now. I live in a small Apartment in Sumter, S.C. and my girlfriend has recently bought me a Char Broil offset smoker that I just seasoned last weekend.
I'm hoping to start learning how to make great meats and other foods on this bad boy. I figured if I could cook great meals on this cheap smoker then I could do fairly well on a good one. Only caveat I have is the cheapo temp gauge that reads warm, ideal, and hot. I can't find a replacement for it so it makes my journey a bit more difficult!
Anyways, Nice to meat yall, and I hope to learn quite a bit!
