Just curious, what does it cost up there ? Not available down here, looked online kind of expensive
Gary
There are several recipes here, you could make your own. I plan on it one of these days. Just haven't got around to it yet!

Welcome Back Jimmy!!
Looks good. We just moved back to NJ so we can finally have a regular cheap supply on hand. The first morning back, breakfast was Pork Roll, Egg and Cheese on a Hard Roll. Simply nothing comes close to Taylor Ham aka, Taylor Pork Roll. I am out currently but there is a Jersey Burger in the near future...JJ
Yup---They get serious about their Pork Roll/Ham !!!Jersey burger, haven't heard that in a long time. We prefer Case pork roll and prepare every imaginable way. Grill, rub it and smoke, cube it and make hash. If your in North Jersey it's called Taylor ham, Central And South it's called pork roll. Can you believe people actual debate over this stuff;http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2014/05/map-pork-roll-vs-taylor-ham.html
Yup----We Bucks County Boys got better things to fight about !!I'll save my breath while they argue and eat my grilled crispy double slice with provolone smothered in grilled peppers and Vidalia onions on a toasted Kaiser. That was literally a mouthful.
Thanks Disco!!
Never seen this. Never heard of this. However, I definitely want some!
Disco
This (Below) Recipe from Len Poli is probably the closest thing you can get to the real thing ---- "New Jersey Pork Roll Clone":
Bear if you should come across a recipe for this pork roll would you be so kind as to post it for all to see.
Your poor cousins in the land down under are deprived of all the good stuff you guys get and I'm guessing that with a bit of practice and a recipe we could come close to making our own.
At present the closest I come to this is when I buy a roll of Polish salami, fry it and add a couple of eggs and beans.
Cheers from Down Under.
That exact same post is on this site. Must be same guy, different screen name on a different forum. This is another recipe i'd like to try one day, from a sausage making site my buddy uses;http://wedlinydomowe.pl/en/viewtopic.php?t=6212. Scrapple, rubbed with sugar maple wood, favorite here
Thanks Steve!!
Here's their web site> http://jerseyporkroll.com/
Don't know if they ship to Australia, give em a call.
Hey Bear, they got scrapple!
Usually just grill my own with a Italian Peoples Bakery kaiser roll. Or on the stove with eggs for breakfast. I bought plenty of sandwiches during the Pork Roll Festival that was on May 23.ThackMan, right across the river from me. Ever have a Cheese Pork Roll from Stewarts with a frosty rootbeer?
