I want to start smoking meats (obviously) but i have no clue where to start. I think I want to go with an electric smoker, i have $150.00 to $250.00 to get started. Wondering what electric smoker would give me best bang for my buck. I do understand that my first attempts once I start will be trial and error, but what smoker would help in easing the "error" portion of my education, as well as good heat control ( especially in the winter months of Michigan ). I would usually be serving 3-6 people @ a time and smoking everything from red/white meats, poultry and vegetables (no fish, for my wife said that's where she draws the line in my hobby).
