Had a left over tri tip from a couple weeks ago. We've been really enjoying tri tip so it was time for more.

Thawed and rubbed with Tatonka Dust. First time ever using this rub so I have no idea how we like it so today is an experiment.

Onto the WSM. It's pretty warm outside so I'm going to try my best to keep the temp low. I'd like a consistent 200f for the first 1.5 hrs. then a slight bump to 220'ish. Hickory only.

Time for the meat probe. That Tatonka Dust is some crazy looking stuff! Hope it tastes good.

Grilling some veggies again. Lightly coated with olive oil and sprinkled with some Tatonka Dust as well.

All done - IT 140 (this temp meets everyone's needs in the family) On to a quick sear.

Veggies grilling up

All done and ready to eat!

Tatonka Dust was good!

Thanks,
Bryce

Thanks WHB! I can understand why tt is a big hit at your house. Great tasting stuff and a pretty fast smoke as well.

Nice post , Bryce , really enjoy you step Q-view , keep it coming :drool  .

The step by step is pretty fun OldSchool. Takes a little work but makes things interesting. Tri tip and veggies went down nicely.

Have some left over tri tip for today. Any reheat suggestions?

Thanks, Bryce

Thanks worktoghr!

You're killing me Bryce!

That looks awesome!  I've been drooling for Tri-Tip for over a month now, with none to be found.  Great Q-View!

I'd ship if i could!

I wouldn't call tri tip super popular here but it's not too tough to find. Even a large west coast grocery store chain carries them (Safeway) This particular one came from Costco.
