Hey, I am new to join site but have been using you all to help with deciding on new smoker (sorry about that).  I am from south Mississippi and have been using a smoker for about 5 years now.  Ribs, butts, briskets, and those little bacon wrapped shrimp- I am a fan of them all.  I started with a small charcoal and quickly decided i needed more room for meat.  That is when i happened across a smoke hollow 38".  I have used and loved it for many years now.  My problem, once again, is I am in need of yet more room.  This is when I found yall.  In reading from the bank of knowledge on this site I decided to stick with smoke hollow and go to the 44".  So any advice from fellow smokers would be appreciated in regards to mods and tricks for my new smoker that should hopefully arrive in the next couple days.  I plan on reinforcing legs (I like to travel with my smoker) and installing needle valve before I even season the thing.  Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Just because i have been playing with this style of cookin for a few years does not mean I know what i am doing.

Thanks in advance and glad to be here.

one more thing-

my grill is about to go to crap on me so lookin for ideas in that department as well.  Can spend up to about 500 on grill.  I mostly cook for my family and if dad cooks I will be outside.  Not set on gas charcoal or gas just starting to look.  Anybody have good runs with the infrared grills yet?  thanks again
