Legs & Thighs on the “Q”

On this one I had to go back to the old way of doing these, because Mrs Bear didn’t want them smoked.

So while I was mowing with my new Toy:

Mrs Bear put the 2 Legs (Hers) and 3 Thighs (Mine) in a Baking dish with a little butter, and into the oven at 350° for 45 minutes.

Then I thinned out a little BBQ sauce with some Ketchup & Olive Oil, and swished the chicken parts in that awhile.

Then onto my Weber “Q” flipping a couple times & applying a little more of my sauce mixture until I got nice grill marks.

Meanwhile Mrs Bear mashed some taters, and heated up a can of Campbells Chicken Soup for Gravy, and added some Sugar Snap Peas.

I like the Chicken better smoked, but sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do.
It was all plenty good!!

While we’re waiting, after my 6th mowing, my yard is finally looking good again, without the Dandelions:

Here's the new "Zero-Turn" Toy that did that nice job above:

Looks great as usual Bear.

Must have been chicken night.

Looks great as usual.  I get the thighs as well as wife does not like them.  I too like the chicken smoked but I have trouble getting the skin just right.  Oh well, just have to keep trying.

Very nice , Bear . Never a bad Q-view . Nice grill marks , and the sauce mix for the Glaze was tasty sounding.

I will be doing some Breast this weekend (Trish don't like dark meat) so I'll get a couple of Chickens and Her breast . I have a couple of Brats

stashed for me . Me and the Grand Kids will destroy the dark meat and some of the Breast too.  Dang, them Kids can eat .

I'll get my nephew to help me resolve my posting problems.

Have fun and . . .

Everybody must be in the mood for chicken, doing a roasted chicken in the oven right now, brined it for about 5 hours. Both my smoker and grill don't know what to think, Haven't been using either very much with all this dad gum rain.

I looked at the Craftsman too, but I couldn't resist this Zero-Turn with a regular steering wheel.

Thanks Justin!!

We had a lot of rain over the last 11 years. Like always I was mowing every 4 days. Then we had 20 days without rain. I was kicking up dust while mowing for the first time in 11 years. This last time it didn't need mowing for 8 days.

Had a big rain last week & it's back to normal again. Nice & green & growing fast & thick.

Thanks Red !!

Chicken was Great !!

I can't believe how that mower does Zero turns without having to use Lap bars. Just turn the wheel & the 4 wheel steering does the Job---Amazing!!
