Just pulled these off the smoker.

I used a blend of Cherry and Mesquite. The cherry was very prominent and went very well with the marinade.
I smoked them on a basic Brinkmann Electric Smoker with water. Right after I took that picture I wrapped them all in foil and let them rest.
Later I flash deep fried them at a bar right next to my house for only like a minute and tossed them with a homemade blend of the following:
This worked for 5lbs. of Wings.
1c Island Teriyaki (Soy Vay Brand)
1T Thai Chili Paste
2T Fish Sauce
3T Fig Jam
Generous pinch of Red Pepper Flakes
I combined all of those in a sauce pan and reduced it a little to thicken so it'd be a better glaze. Turned out absolutely awesome and I would have taken a picture of the end product but we inhaled them. :)
