Air tank reverse flow smoker

Hello everyone, first time poster, and first smoker build. I recently got a hold of a joy manufacturing air tank for cc. It is 105 gallons and it was built in 1969. Ok, so when I got the door cut open I noticed that there was a liner inside. I am pretty sure it is aluminum lining? Has anyone run into this before and how can I remove this lining? Thanks ahead for the advice.

Send the tank serial # to Joy and ask them.... It's almost impossible to attach aluminum to steel unless you use a clad process... that's REALLY expensive so I doubt it.... It may be zinc or galvalume...
