Happy New week to all!

I hope that everyone had a smoking hot and fabulous Mother's Day! I did indeed!

As a dog mom extraordinaire, I was delighted when my pups whipped up a beautiful gourmet lunch and for me to enjoy!

In fact it was so lovely, that I am sharing it here!

I grilled lobster that I first spliced down the middle & drizzled with avocado oil, red pepper flakes & chopped green onion.

Once removing that meat, and giving the dogs a taste from the claw that didn't have any spices, I layered that on open faced sandwiches made of grilled wheat-free almond bread toast, hearts of palm, cilantro, green onion, Cyprus Black Sea salt & of course the grilled tomalley! (Best part)!

It was truly outstanding, as was a surprising Aussie Chard - screw cap aside - that I was gifted after working at a wine tasting where it was served.

"Wild Oats" Chardonnay, owned and created by the former owner of Rosemount wines & named after his yacht that he races in the America's Cup, was full and smooth and still with a dryness that I adored!

Here's to a very wonderful new week for all!

Make today's meal and libation as amazing as you are!

Cheers! - Leah

Chardonay has had a bit of a rebirth here.It drifted into to much oak for a while & got overtaken by the bloody sav blanc

.

Its back in fashion again & there are some lovely wines across the spectrum with some distinctive regional styles.

Pinot gris is getter better ,some of the wines from Tassie are just mind blowing. They do whites very well there.

Now that winter  is approaching, laughable as it is by USA standards, there are cheap flights to Tassie, its only 90 minutes .Tempting to take an extended w/e.

Looks Amazing!! Lobster Lover here!! I have relatives that live on Cape Cod so I got to taste Lobster and Clams fresh caught!!

Absolutely gorgeous, Leah!

Tell me a bit more about what is going on with those avocado halves?  Filled with a soft-boiled egg and what else?

You've got some good kids.  I tried to inspire my cat to do something nice for me for Mother's Day.  But she was all like, "Do something nice for somebody else other than myself?  I don't understand the concept?"

God, I love your food pictures.  So beautiful!

Take care,

Clarissa

Thank you so much Mick! You have spiked my interest in Tassie for some time now and I am keeping that location on my list for certain! I have a hunch that I would love it there! From food and libation to more, it sounds like Paradise!

And, screwcap aside, I went back yesterday and bought MORE Wild Oats Chard! I really love it!

Thanks Bigace! The Cape is majestic for that kind of fare indeed, although we seacoast "Live Free Or Die" state dwellers do think that OURS is the best! (Smiles). So fun! Thanks very much for nice words indeed!

And thank you dear Clarissa! Coming from gourmet master, YOU; I am flattered beyond belief! I have the grilled lobster tomalley on the egg, along with Black Cyprus Sea Salt flakes, fresh cilantro, chopped raw green onion, and red pepper flakes and a drizzle of avocado oil!

Happy Tuesday to all! I'm using up basic cod today, but will make it magical somehow nonetheless!!!

Cheers!!! - Leah

Here are some more open faced sandwich fun meals from this past week! Enjoy and happy weekend and cheers to all! - Leah
