hey there everybody i smoked a 10lb pork butt last night and let it rest all night. me and my family are going to eat it tonight but how do we reheat it in the oven? what temp and how much time? the butt is not shredded still whole.

In the future if you will shred it while it is still hot it will be much easier. I then vacuum seal and reheat in a pot of hot water.

Now that you have it still whole I would shred it cold and then put it in a thin layer in the oven or crock pot. If you saved the pan drippings add it to the top of the PP before you put it in the oven. Do a search for Chefjj's finishing sauce and make a batch of that to reheat. Others on here also have a good finishing sauce so you should be able to find something that you like.

Happy smoken.

so here are some pics of the pork!

everything about it was good!

I smoked it with Pecan and Cherry wood. I sprayed it every hour with apple juice. once the temp hit 165F i brought it in sprayed it one last time then but parkay margine, brown sugar, and honey then wrapped it and put back on smoker until 200F. Let it rest overnite and reheated it in the oven at 350F for 35mins. Also put some apple juice in the pan with the pork. came out juicy and tender! The family loved it! my next project on the smoker might be pork loin! Happy smoking and enjoy this weather while you can!

I do this all the time, cook ahead of time and reheat whole in the oven. I usually reheat at ~325 for a little longer while wrapped in Foil in Al Pan. Great for times when you have to travel to family like Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think it comes out better reheating whole and pulling right before serving.

Also, if you have a Vacuum sealer, I seal whole butts and freeze. Always have one ready to go with just a days notice for thawing!!

I can't remember the last time I cooked a solo butt. If the smoker is running, might as well load it up.
