Which cooking racks are safe you use in a smoker? Are they all safe? Does it matter is they are stainless, commercial grade Oven-safe Chrome, Chrome plated steel? I know Galv is a no no

Does anyone know where (on the internet) I can long racks about 2 foot / 60 cm or just buy some smaller ones and push together?

You can build your own out of mild steel or you can get some cooling racks from a restaurant supply. Do you have pics of the smoker you are going to use them in?

Happy smoken.

Im in the process of putting a list together of everything I need to build a new smoker. The problem I have is that I don't have access to a welder and I live in Mexico. It seems that everything is at least twice the price than what I could pay for on amazon and have it delivered. I need to get everything correct before ordering.

What about Nickel Plated Steel?

I'm looking for large racks so that I don't need to add cross supports to the smoker and then I can start working on the size of the smoker.

Nickle is fine it is used in chrome.

Happy smoken.

so chrome plated steel is ok as well?

It doesn't have to be Stainless Steel?

Chrome plated steel is OK. Often used in grills that get much hotter than the typical smoker.

I use old oven racks. I get them free from an appliance dealer. They are more than happy to give them too you if you ask.

I hope these will be ok to use.

Those will work just fine, but they may not be able to handle a lot of weight if only supported on the ends.
