Good Afternoon To All,
I am new to SmokingMeatForums.com and looking forward to learning the ins and outs in the art of smoking food.
Growing up I spent a lot of time in the kitchen with my mother who was a chef in Riga Latvia along with her father and brother who were private chefs for the Kremlin in the USSR (I Love To Cook). I am the only one in my family that was born in the USA.
About two weeks ago the Masterbuilt Sportsman Elite 44" Windowed Propane Smoker I ordered from Cabelas arrived at my front door. I have assembled it and seasoned it... Now I just have to smoke something in it! In reading numerous threads about Masterbuilt smokers, the model I purchased had ALL the bad things mentioned about Masterbuilt fixed! 6 Quart water Pan, totally redesigned two burner heating source, new chip tray system, and this 2 door smoker does NOT leak smoke. Hoping to get up to the cabin this weekend in Park Rapids Minnesota and maybe throw some ribs in the smoker.
Looking forward to talking with as many of you as I can....
