BBB sliced and packed. Wound up with 4 packs with 8-10 slices in each, and one pack of BBB scraps for beans one day..

Next time I will have to do two butts! A slicer is needed before then.

QView

BBB Sliced up as thin as I could with a sharp knife

Fried a piece up to taste... Delish!

Packed up and ready for the freezer

Very happy with the outcome of both the pulled ham and BBB. I just wish there was more!

Was Wegman's out of it, or don't they carry it?

They have it on their web site.

I think there is a place on the Morton's site to tell them names of stores you shop, and that you want them to carry it. If they stock Morton Salt, they can stock Morton Tender Quick.

I'm still looking, but if you have to order it, I'd use the Wegman site at $5.29 for 2 pound bag, instead of the ones that get about $13.

Bear

You would think in Richmond someone would carry TQ    Contact Mortonss ans ask them who in your area handles it.

Well, we'll see what happens. The nice lady at my local Kroger was only to happy to take down name and number and a request for a coupe bags of the stuff, hopefully they'll be calling me back in a couple days. They carry Mortons everything else, ice melt in May...

With the number of hunters and fishermen, folks making their own jerky and all sorts of other stuff around, here I find it kind of mystifying, but who knows. Maybe it just doesn't sell.

Wegmans was a no-go for me when I traveled up there as my entire schedule got thrown out the window and it was on the opposite end of town, in a downpour and in their version of rush hour, one light after another every 2 blocks... Forget it, turned the nose South again and hit the gas!

I've either checked or called all the Wallly's in a reasonable distance around here, and no one seems to have it.

We'll see, hopefully Kroger comes through! Will keep posted.

I personally looked everywhere for it here and finally bit the bullet and ordered a couple bags.
The next day I went to my usual grocery store and saw it stocked on the shelf. Murphy's Law I guess... Somebody must have asked for it.

Learn from my mistake!

LOL---Happened to me too. None of the stores Mrs Bear shops had any TQ, so I ordered it from Mortons the first time (along with their Home Smoking Book).

Then my Son said they had TQ at the store they shop at "Wegmans". Been getting it their ever since.

Bear

The stores I frequent all have TQ for less than $6! I asked the salesman of my local restaurant supply and I can buy a case of 12 for $48...

I see BBB in my future!!!
