Finally joined but have been using this forum for some time for information. I have been smoking for 5 years, started out with a WSM and progressed. I now have a Weber performer, a Green Mountain Pellet cooker, Weber smokey Mountain, a Oklahoma Joe offset, and a gasser. Got rid of my electric smoker from Smokinit, just didn't do it for me. I just bought the Ok. Joe and want to do the mods, basket, tuner plate/diffuser, seals etc... Has anyone purchased the diffuser plate from Horizon for the Ok. Joe?? If so does it work?? I really wanted to buy a Lang reverse flow, could afford the cost but when you add the shipping at $550.00 it put it over my budget.

Welcome to the forum from Lansing coyoteQ.  And what a great forum it is to learn the art of smoking everything.

We have a Michigan group here.  http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/groups/show/27/michigan-members-group

If you get a chance check it out and please join if you have not done so yet.

We have a yearly get together and I hope you can make it this year.  We also have occasional cheese smokes here or there so if you can join in please do.

It’s always nice to see another Michigander here.
