Hello, i'm Nick from maryland. Been reading posts on this site for awhile thought i'd join. I have a wsm that i use almost religiously but i've recently been thinking about building an offset.

Picked this thing up off craigslist for pennies a couple years back. Yes i know, whoever built it could use a welding class. Haha. I'll clean it up before repaint.

It actually works pretty well as a grill, but im considering adding a firebox and making a reverse flow. Figure i'm already half way there. Dimensions are 40" long by 19" high. 25" deep. Stack is 5" and 18" to the tip. My question is what size firebox should i be looking at? (One third as i've read?) Im going to use 3/16 plate to save some cash. Also, firebox to smoker opening and how far from the grate the reverse flow plate should be would help. eventually the thing my end up on one of those harbor freight trailers.

Thanks for any help. Again, great wealth of knowledge here. Looking forward to learning something!
