Just tossed this in the smoker will give it the r/s treatment! Simple seasoning of salt, pepper, garlic and dehydrated onion. Smoke from the great combo of cherry and pecan.

Can't go wrong with that cut of beef.  You'll be eating good tonight!

Tri tip is the best! Even better when served with Chef JJ's smokey Au jus and some extra hot horseradish!

Thanks everybody! It took the smoke really well it got to 102*F IT then I shut the coals down and let it sit in the smoker as the gasser was warming up it ran out of gas, luckily I had a back up, cranked up the gasser again got to 550- 600 seared for 30 flip 4 times and we finally got to eat. I only wish they weren't so expensive these days paid $8.99 or 9.99 lb I wasn't paying to much attention was just glad they had some in the back.
