I picked up my new Meadow Creek SQ36 on Friday, and since I took the day off to go get it, I basically had a full three day weekend to play with it. After seasoning it on Friday, it was too late to start anything big, so I just tossed on some chicken thighs that I had marinated for a few hours.

Saturday, I had more time to play with the smoker, so I decided to do a whole duck.

Sunday, since it was Easter, I went with a leg of lamb. I couldn't pass up a nice ham though, so I bought a whole uncured ham and made a brine for it... So next week I'll be smoking a 17lbs ham and really putting this new smoker to the test.

So far I love this smoker. The only thing I dislike so far is the drain. The bottom of the smoker is flat, so if you don't have it completely level, water and grease will pool on one end of the smoker.

Thanks! I was very impressed by the build quality of the MC. Every weld was perfectly polished and it cooks as good as it looks.
