Hi there. New to the forum. Currently smoking w a Masterbuilt, which I like very much. Question for you guys, how often should I be placing wood chips in my smoker during the cooking process? I know it's a smoker, but should I always have wood burning during the cooking process? Thank you

Got it. Will do, thank you. I was putting wood chips about every 20 minutes and the end result wasn't too bad. I thought that's what you had to do, but maybe that was a rookie move. I think I'll be putting wood in about every 1:30-2hrs now

Been using a masterbuilt electric for going on six years . usually would add a palm full of dry chips every 45 min.  Then i bought an AMNS and could get  6 hrs of smoke from the dust. now have the AMNPS and can get close to 10 hrs of smoke when i fill it w/ pellets. Best investment you can make for the MES .

i pulled the chip chute out of the unit to get good air flow for the AMNPS . don't even remember where i put it.
