Just built my first reefer smoker this winter...works awesome! But I just can't get much smoke flavor if any at all! 1.5" inlet 4" exhaust 1500w Bradley element with ss dog pan for the chunks. Woods smoking but no flavor?

Try a 18" AMNPTS

Happy smoken.

Anyone know how tall the stack should be on my fridge? I've heard too tall and you get creosote on the food and too short and it drafts the smoke too fast and won't get flavor?

If you Google feldons calculator I believe. You plug in your fire box and cooking chamber size and it will tell you how much stack you will need

You shouldn't need a stack on the fridge.... The fridge body acts as a stack...
Do you have the doors air tight ???
How much air is flowing through the smoker....
Do the chunks of wood burn up completely to white ash ??? Or mostly white ash...
Have you tried chips... the kind W-Mart sells for other smokers....
What temps are you able to maintain in the smoker...

With that element, the heat is not concentrated in a small spot...
You may need to purchase the AMNPS and burn pellets to get adequate smoke.... That is the route I would go...

I use a modified table top burner for heat and smoke in my Totem smoker... I use 1 chunk of wood at a time....
