I checked mine today and it was pretty spot on as well as the meat probe.I hear a lot Ofcomplaints about the stock temp probe being way off on the MES. I have done several trials on my MES 40 and hear are the results against my Maverick.Pretty darn close. Must have got a good one from Sportsmans warehouse.See bottom temp.Left is Maverick right is temp probe on MES 40
