Hello, long time lurker now member.
anyways I'm from Washington state and a farmer. Been smoking in an Mes30 with Amnps for a year now. So far so good. My meat cooking prowess has got the attention of my wife and we are thinking of moving up to a Rec Tec 680. Any thoughts on how much better tasting I could make things with one of those vs the mes with amnps . It's almost illegal taste now.

Welcome officially to the forum.  If you upgrade to the Rec Tec you will not be sorry.  I've owned mine going on two years and I am 100% happy.  The search bar at the top of the page is a great resource.

Thank you, I'm sure my wife will get tired of hearing about grills/smokers until we do pull the trigger.

Pecan smoked Turkey with meatheads herb rub MES 30 w/AMNPS Traeger Pecan 6 hours was a 22lb bird before I broke it down skin was crisp but wrapped in foil since my wife was at work. Tastes great though breast a bit dry but not bad.

And my wife's smoked potatoes well I make them and she eats them , also pecan smoked with Memphis dust rub, butter, onions and garlic

Welcome to the site P-nography.  If your keeping the wife happy with your smoking, you doing fine.  A new smoker is always a good idea as far as I am concerned.

I like the look of those tater's.
